Saturday September 12, 2015 - left-minded Northern Beaches ride

Ride style: Social
Terrain: Mainly Flat
Estimated Distance: 65 kms+
Start Point: Maylands, Narrows - North Side

Terry is fine to lead the Northern Beaches ride on Saturday – though with an expection the weather won’t be fine he suggests we call it a “left-minded ride” ‘cos no right-minded person would plan a ride when there’s a 90% chance of rain. ;-) He is happy to do it. Happy to wear a rain jacket, if needed.

Suggested route is via Kings Pk, optional Reabold climb, then to the coast, take cycle path to Scarborough, roads (West Coast Dr/Marmion Ave) to Sorrento/Hillarys and, depending on how people are feeling, possibly coastal road to Mullaloo. Return to Hillarys, then to the freeway at Greenwood and mostly follow cycle path back to city. People can catch the train if they feel like it.

PRACTICE RIDE NUMBER 6
Our next practice ride is on Saturday 5 September 2015. It will follow the recently ridden Kep Trail to Chidlow, before exploring new trails towards GT Eastern Hwy, to arrive at the Forsyth Mills circuit. For those inclined, we will do this short circuit, then ride various tracks to join Mundaring Weir Rd and ride back to Mundaring.

Our guide for this ride will be James Cooper.

We will back in Mundaring before lunch time. As there are no shops along the way, I’ll suggest you bring some muesli bars, water bottle and the like.

Please RSVP to Francis if you plan to attend.     francis.vivier@iinet.net.au
